Parkour is activity or sport of moving rapidly through an area, mostly in an urban environment, manuevering obstacles by running, jumping, and climbing. It was  developed in the 1980’s from French army obstacle training.

Parkour became popular through movies, TV shows, and commercials. Sometimes people have live competitions on TV.

Parkour, also know as freerunning, is popular all over the world from kids to even adults! The parkour movement involves vaulting, climbing and great running philosophy. This is a great way to get fit also keeps kids away from drugs.

                                    Chiefs vs. Broncos
BY: Colton Carry and Daniel Do
The Chiefs Stay 9-0 as the top team in the NFL . There next opponent will be the 8-1 Denver Broncos. The Chiefs have the defense to stop the Broncos offense, but football analyzers will probably agree that the outcome can go either way. The Chiefs will play the Broncos Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m CST time in Denver.

The Hunger Game Book Review by Eliana Frank

The Hunger Games, written by Suzanne Collins, is set apocalyptic world. Katniss Everdeen, a 16 year old girl with a little sister and a mother who can’t support them, is chosen for the Hunger Games. The Hunger Games is a killing “sport” where a bunch of rich people throw children into an enclosed area to kill each other just for the fun of watching them. There can only be one surviver.

The majority of the people who have read this book say that they enjoyed it. Sally Carbonara, the school librarian says the book was suspenseful and creative. “I like that Katniss does what she thinks she should do, instead of doing what everyone thinks she should do.” When asked how she compared the movie to the book, she replied that there was no comparison. “The movie was good, but didn’t show any emotion.”

I recommend the book if you are interested in fiction survival stories. If you read sci-fi fantasy, you might also like this enjoyable book. Try seeing the movie AND reading the book, and you can compare them too.
